Nancy Cudis-Ucag
Managing Director

Nancy Cudis
Nancy Cudis-Ucag is a professional writer and blogger. She owns The Memoriter Writing Service, a registered Cebu-based business that writes high-grade content for large companies, small businesses, non-profits, and individuals. The Memoriter is a proud member of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Her top passions are writing and reading. These are evident in her positions as co-organizer of Cebu Book Club, vice president and proud member of the Cebu Bloggers Society Inc., blogger at www.nancycudis.com, and secretary of Cebu Association of Communication Educators.

She won the 2009 Cebu Archdiocesan Mass Media Awards (CAMMA) for Best in News Writing and 2012 and 2013 Globe Cebu Media Excellence Awards Blogger of the year. She was also 2013 Good Blog Top 9 finalist and nominee for the 2014 Globe Cebu Media Excellence Awards Blogger of the Year and Social Media Advocate. She was part of the team at the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) that won the 2013 CAMMA Best Institutional Website. She also won several essay and new writing contests in her student days.

She had several jobs before she became an entrepreneur. She was production assistant at SkyCable, business reporter at Sun.Star Cebu, and communications specialist at RAFI.

In her college days at St. Theresa's College, she was treasurer of the Theresian Communicators Organization (TCO), leader of TCO's Journalism Committee, feature editor of The Catalyst Newspaper, editor-in-chief of The Star Magazine, and president of The Buhilaman Theater Organization.

Now, she's serving her alma mater by teaching part-time at the college department, helping students learn about news and feature writing, investigative journalism, developmental theater, and newspaper editing and layout.

If she’s not writing or blogging, you can find her reading. If she’s not writing or reading, you can find her eating ice cream or shopping books and wedges or fighting off crime in her imagination. She thinks TV is an alien invention.

Daryl Kate A. Dizon
Sales and Marketing Associate

Daryl Dizon
Daryl dwells in her world of thoughts and wonders. Bubbly, she strives to realize all of her dreams. As far as she can remember, writing has always been her passion and now she wants to make it her profession.

During her first year of college, she took up Political Science at the University of San Carlos but her eager heart was seeking for more, so she took a step back and shifted to Mass Communication at St. Theresa’s College Cebu.

She has been enjoying and learning a lot in her third year in the institution while taking the challenge as Sales and Marketing Associate at The Memoriter Writing Service.

Her love for writing started with once-upon-a-time and happily-ever-after stories she wrote in elementary. She slowly took out her inner Shakespeare when she started filling a booklet of poems. She was active in journalism during high school as photographer and eventually as editor-in-chief in her senior year.

One turning point of her life that made her want to grasp the world of writing was when she was able to reach the national competition for editorial writing in 2012.

In college, she continued to write when she joined “The Catalyst” (STC’s college newspaper) and STAR (STC’s college literary magazine).

She is the type of person who needs to bring a notebook with her all the time so she can write down the things she must do and those that she wants to do. She feels quite helpless without it.

Besides writing, Daryl loves to sing and even compose her own songs. She also loves to go out and see God’s finest creations.

Mary Mae Edgilez Yburan
Communications Specialist

Mae Yburan
Mae is a frustrated writer, chocolate lover, book enthusiast, and pursuer of dreams.

She is the eldest among her three siblings; an incoming third year student of Cebu Technological University-Main Campus, taking up Bachelor of Science in Development Communication; and works as part-time communications assistant at the Memoriter Writing Service.

She loves singing, stargazing, and most of all, taking care of dogs and cats. She usually spends her spare time reading a good book and singing her heart out.

Her favorite authors of all times are Carolyn Keene, Nicholas Sparks, and Soman Chainani. The genres she likes reading are suspense, horror, and comedy.

She is a musically inclined person. She listens to music every time she has the chance to. Her favorite songs are God Bless the Broken Road by the Rascal Flatts, all Demi Lovato’s songs and Ariana Grande’s songs. She also likes listening to R&B and pop songs. Her favorite R&B singers are Kyla, Jay-R, Rihanna, and Kanye West.

She is a volunteer of the Dream Big Project and Teach Peace Build Peace Movement, a project helping children in the province in realizing their dreams and a movement teaching them how to be a Peace Builder in their community.

Faith Janine Gordillo
Communications Assistant

Faith Gordillo
Faith aspires to become a professional writer. She is a big dreamer, book lover and eager learner.

She is a college student taking up Bachelor of Science in Development Communication at Cebu Technological University. She works as a part-time Communications Assistant at the Memoriter Writing Services.

Ever since she was a child, she showed great interest in reading books. When she was in grade school, she loves opening her English book and reading stories. She also enjoyed reading fables and science encyclopedia during that time.

When she is not busy, she reads books of Filipino and English language. She prefers romance, comedy, thriller, investigative and adventure genres.

Faith also started writing in grade school. She wrote essays mostly about the environment, God, and personal experiences. In high school, she joined essay-writing contests in her school and won second or third place.

Writing literary pieces was never her cup of tea. She has written a few stories and composed a song back then, but it simply didn’t become her forte. Since she loves writing literary pieces so much, she continuously practices writing stories, poems and composing songs.

When she’s stressed or overwhelmed, she relaxes herself by listening to music and dancing to its beat or grab a food from their fridge.

She loves watching comedy movies and rarely dramatic ones. The only dramatic movies she like since they made her cry are “Miracle in Cell No. 7, “Hope” and “Wedding Dress.”
